At SOURCE, we use a collaborative, pro-bono partnership model that gives nonprofits the tools and support needed for sustainable growth. Our partners work closely with skilled, professional student-consultants to create actionable plans to tackle challenges and pursue opportunities.
Given the mutual investment and dedication to the relationship that this partnership model provides, our SOURCE teams and their nonprofit clients are able to create innovative solutions to real challenges and increase the nonprofit’s capacity for local service for years to come!

Each year, SOURCE partners with six to ten nonprofit organizations to address organizational challenges, provide actionable solutions, and expand community impact. In a semester or a year-long partnership, each nonprofit client works alongside a team of 4-6 consultants on a range of projects depending on the organization's needs and capacity. ideajams
IdeaJams are fast brainstorming sessions in which 4-5 SOURCE consultants meet with 2-4 representatives from your nonprofit and spend 90 minutes focused on solving one of your organization's challenges. Whether you want help developing your marketing strategy, building your board, creating a new program, or anything in between, we are here to help! We offer IdeaJams throughout the academic year. Lunch & Learns
Nonprofit Lunch and Learns are educational lunchtime events for nonprofit leaders to learn from expert speakers about nonprofit management while connecting with other socially-minded leaders in the greater Los Angeles area. Past NLLs topics include strategic planning, utilizing digital tools, fundraising techniques, and more! NLLs are open to any nonprofit representatives in LA or San Bernardino counties, and are free of charge. To receive invitations, please sign up for our mailing list here.

How do we determine which service is best for us?
Ask yourself “Do I need one-on-one help or am I just looking for helpful tips & information?” If it’s the latter, try our Nonprofit Lunch & Learns. If you’re looking for more, try our IdeaJams or client partnerships. Both services offer personalized help, but require differently time commitments from the nonprofits: IdeaJams are short & quick while partnerships are longer and more involved. what should We know before signing up for an IDEAJAM?
For your IdeaJam, we will pair you with a IdeaJam Lead who will, first, help you identify a problem statement. This is a sentence or two that will focus the team’s brainstorming to a specific challenge you are facing. So, to prepare, it is helpful to brainstorm this statement and what relevant information the team might need about your organization to suggest solutions. From there, the Lead will guide you.
What types of projects can source help us with?
Our team is trained to provide a wide variety of deliverables and solutions to nonprofit challenges, so chances are we can help you! From strategic development and board governance to grant writing and marketing campaigns and much more, SOURCE will work with you nonprofit to address your needs. Are there any charges for source nonprofit services?
No, all of our nonprofit services are free! At SOURCE, it is vital to us that our services are accessible to any interested nonprofit, regardless of their capacity to pay. If anyone would like to contribute to SOURCE financially, we welcome donations through CMC.
